It Just takes One Day

If I gave you an opportunity to change your life for the better forever, what would that be worth to you? A few minutes of your time and attention? A dollar? $10,000? A "thank you?" A smile and walk away? A next click? It just takes one day.

Time and Money and Value, What it is All Worth?

Given: It takes one day to do the project.

A. Used to be I charged $1k for a thing. I got 9 out of 10 projects. Grandma said, "You're price is too low, double your price."

Hesitantly, I raised my price.

B. I charged $2k for a thing. I got 7 out of 10 projects. Grandma said, "You're price is too low, double your price."

Hesitantly, I raised my price.

C. Used to be I charged $4k for a thing. I got 3 out of 10 projects. Grandma said, "You're price is too low, double your price."

Hesitantly, I raised my price.

It's that time again.

D. Charge $8k for a thing. Get 1 out of 10 projects.

The Math on Paper

A. In 10 days I made $9,000. One day left for free time.

B. In 10 days I made $4,000. Three days left for free time.

C. In 10 days I made $12,000. Seven days left for free time.

D. In theory, in 10 days I make $8,000 and have 9 days left for free time. The potential could be $80,000 in 10 days.

Thoughts and Lessons

I've heard it all and programed my thinking accordingly. "Who would pay that price? That's robbery! There is no fairness in that." So then, am I supposed to tell the man he, his wife and children are not worth the price of wanting me to do the thing he wants ME to do? Am I to tell the lady her gift is not worth the opportunity of giving her dying mother one final opportunity to give her mother something to be proud of? Am I supposed to only accept a peanut butter sandwich and not a steak dinner as a gratuity? Isn't judgement a sneaky snake.

If I gave you an opportunity to change your life for the better forever, what would that be worth to you? A few minutes of your time and attention? A dollar? $10,000? A "thank you?" A smile and walk away? A next click?
